Meet Dr. Ahmad Hassan, M.D

About Me

Dr. Ahmad Hassan is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist and Medical Director whose approach to care is collaborative, evidence-based, and family-centered.

He specializes in treating ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, and disordered eating, drawing on his training in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapy alongside his strong belief in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as an effective treatment modality. Dr. Hassan completed his residency in General Psychiatry at Maimonides Medical Center, followed by a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center and psychoanalytic fellowship training through an NYU-affiliated program.

Dr. Hassan finds the greatest joy in his day-to-day work through collaboration with his team, and as Medical Director, he values being positioned as an advocate for his patients and their families while continuing to pursue his passion for research.
