Meet Dr. Helen Demetriades, PsyD

About Me

Dr. Helen Demetriades is a licensed psychologist practicing in Point Pleasant, NJ. She is a well-seasoned psychotherapist, having over 30 years of experience. Dr. Demetriades received her graduate educated from New York University (MSW), Columbia University (MA), and Long Island University (MS and PsyD), the latter of which she worked as a professor of psychology for several years prior to being recruited by Georgian Court University. Dr. Demetriades is the author of the book entitled, “Bipolar Disorder, Depression, and Other Mood Disorders”; and is the co-author of research related articles. Her primary specialization is Chronic Mental Illness, and she is a trained and certified Grief Recovery Specialist, as well as a Certified Doctor for the World Trade Center Fund. Dr. Demetriades has been the director of Bridge Mental Health in Point Pleasant for nearly 20 years and is excited to be a part of the team at Bridge Integrative Health.
