Meet Robert Hildebrant, MBA, RDN, CDCES
About Me
I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) with more than seven years of experience helping people improve their health through nutrition and sustainable lifestyle changes. I specialize in weight management and blood sugar management, and I enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
I take a practical approach to nutrition and believe that healthy eating should fit into your life, not take over your life. My goal is to help clients make meaningful changes that they can maintain long term, rather than relying on short term diets or overly restrictive approaches.
How Do I Approach Nutrition and Wellness?
I believe there is no one size fits all approach to nutrition. Every person has a different schedule, lifestyle, food preferences, health history, goals, and challenges, so I start by getting to know the person, not just their diet.
Over the years, I’ve found that the most successful nutrition plans are the ones that actually fit someone’s life. I work with clients to create realistic, individualized strategies that they can maintain over the long term. I focus on practical changes, education, and building healthy habits rather than pursuing perfection.
Who I Work With
I enjoy working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. My particular areas of interest are weight management and blood sugar management, including diabetes prevention, diabetes management, and helping clients develop healthier eating and lifestyle habits.
I especially enjoy working with people who are looking for practical, sustainable changes and want to understand the why behind the recommendations they’re making.
What Can Clients Expect When Working with Me
Clients can expect a personalized approach. I take the time to understand their lifestyle, schedule, preferences, goals, and challenges before developing a plan.
My goal is to create a nutrition strategy that feels realistic and sustainable, not something that works for a few weeks and then becomes impossible to maintain. I also believe in being results driven and using measurable progress to help clients stay motivated and understand that their efforts are making a difference.
A Few Fun Facts
My perfect day: My perfect day would be spent outside enjoying beautiful hot weather. I enjoy fishing and playing tennis, so a day that includes either of those and ends with a great meal would be pretty hard to beat.
Favorite local spot: One of my favorite local spots is Barnegat Lighthouse on Long Beach Island. I enjoy being near the water, and it’s a great place to get outside and enjoy the area.
If I could have dinner with anyone: I would choose Ajahn Brahm, someone who gives talks about mindfulness, meditation, and everyday life that I’ve really enjoyed.
What’s the Most Rewarding Part of Being a Registered Dietitian? I’m very results driven, so the most rewarding part for me is seeing patients achieve lasting results.
It’s one thing to help someone make a change for a few weeks or months, but it’s much more rewarding when you see someone make meaningful lifestyle changes that become part of their everyday life. Seeing patients improve their health, reach their goals, and develop habits they can maintain long term is what makes the work so rewarding to me
