About Me
My approach starts with building real trust. I want clients to feel comfortable, fully heard, and safe enough to be completely open and honest. I aim to be a unique person in their life, someone who is consistently looking out for their wellbeing, committed to understanding their perspective, and creates a space where they feel comfortable sharing the parts of themselves they may not show elsewhere.
What is Your Therapeutic Approach?
I believe person-centered principles are foundational to effective therapy. I take a holistic approach, prioritizing each individual's unique needs, preferences, and goals. My therapeutic framework is grounded in Adlerian theory, which I complement with practical CBT techniques. I adapt my methods to match each client's specific situation, ensuring that treatment feels personalized and relevant to their life.
Who I Work With
I work with children, adolescents, teens, and adults across a wide range of life challenges. I've been told I work especially well with clients struggling with anxiety and with opening up. My background includes extensive experience with anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, family dynamics, grief, and trauma.
I've also worked with many autistic and ADHD clients, and it's a population I've been told I connect well with, and I agree. It often becomes clear that many of the challenges they experience aren't about them doing something wrong, but more so about coping with how difficult the people and world around them can be at times. I think that reframe can feel refreshing, both for the individual and their parents. Interning at an autism health center during my undergrad helped me learn the individual differences within this population that are often overlooked.

A Few Fun Facts
My perfect day: Probably a balanced and productive day, filled with some laughter and catching up with people. And definitely an early start. I always look back at my day better when it began early.
Favorite local spot: I can be a bit of a homebody, honestly. If I had to choose, it would probably be Point Pleasant Beach. I also enjoy a good workout at Planet Fitness.
If I could have dinner with anyone: Oooo.. this is my favorite question yet! The person who comes to mind is Shakira. I think she's the coolest, most lovely person. She's so funny, personable, talented, and smart.
What I Love Most About Being a Therapist: There are so many reasons, and that's what makes it so great. I always wanted a job where I felt like I made a positive difference in people's lives, directly. Getting to hear people's real stories feels like such an honor. It's such a human experience, one that feels good to be part of and to help with. Every person's story is so unique, and there's something genuinely fascinating about getting to understand someone's world through their eyes.
I also get along well with kids, and I think I'm good at making people feel comfortable, sometimes through being a little goofy and lighthearted, other times by being steady and even-tempered when that's what's needed. I genuinely care a lot about the clients and their families I work with, and that's how I'm wired, so it's another great fit!
I think the short version is that this career checks so many of my boxes, and I feel like I check so many of its boxes as well.
